Travertine: what you need to know
Travertine is a stone formed in hot springs and rivers, and it has been used in buildings for thousands of years. It copes very well with temperature extremes, which makes it suitable for cladding façades and fireplaces, and its colour does not fade even in high heat.
Its porous structure makes it slip-resistant, so it is often installed around indoor and outdoor pools. Most of our travertine comes from Italy, Spain and Turkey.
