Granite stairs

Granite is a strong, hard material. Its durability means it has long been used in construction. Larger blocks of granite are well suited as cladding or decorative material. This stone with a granular structure occurs in nature in many colour variations.

When a client approached us wanting granite stairs in Kashmir White, we were able to offer an identical alternative to that stone, since Kashmir White is no longer quarried and the last active quarries closed in 2014. For the stairs we used Amba White granite from India, a material suitable for both interiors and exteriors. In this case we bonded the paving directly onto a stainless-steel structure.
